Privacy
with PixelBlock: The Top-rated
Chrome Extension
Are you concerned about your online privacy and tired of being tracked every time you open an email? Look no further than PixelBlock, the top-rated Chrome extension designed to protect your privacy by blocking email tracking attempts. With a rating of 3.78 out of 5, PixelBlock has gained a solid reputation among users for its outstanding features and reliable performance.
Detect and Block Email Tracking Attempts
One of the standout features of PixelBlock is its ability to detect and block tracking attempts inside emails. When it successfully detects a tracking attempt, it displays a distinctive 'red eye' icon, notifying you that your privacy is being protected. This feature has garnered positive feedback from many users who appreciate the peace of mind that comes with knowing their email activities are not being tracked without their consent.
Seamless Performance and User Satisfaction
According to user reviews, PixelBlock works flawlessly, effectively blocking tracking attempts without any noticeable issues. Users have praised the extension for its seamless performance, with one user even stating that it "works perfectly." This level of user satisfaction is a testament to the app's reliability and efficiency.
Minor Limitations, Major Benefits
However, like any software, PixelBlock has its limitations. Some users have reported issues with the 'red eye' icon disappearing after switching between multiple accounts on the same device. While this may be a minor inconvenience for some, it is important to note that the extension continues to block tracking attempts even without the visible icon. The consistent positive feedback from users suggests that this issue does not significantly impact the overall functionality of PixelBlock.
Regain Control over Your Digital Footprint
PixelBlock's effectiveness in blocking tracking attempts makes it an essential tool for anyone concerned about their online privacy. By preventing email senders from knowing when you open their messages, PixelBlock helps you regain control over your digital footprint. This is particularly valuable in today's age of political ad targeting and increasing concerns about online privacy.
User-Friendly and Secure
Furthermore, PixelBlock's user-friendly interface and lightweight design make it a hassle-free addition to any browser. The extension runs locally on your browser and does not store or transmit any data, ensuring that your personal information remains secure. This commitment to privacy is reflected in the extension's privacy policy, which clearly states that it does not access or transmit any data from your Gmail account or computer.
Install PixelBlock Today for Enhanced Privacy
In conclusion, PixelBlock is a highly regarded Chrome extension that effectively blocks email tracking attempts, providing users with greater privacy and peace of mind. Despite minor issues reported by some users, the overwhelmingly positive feedback and high rating demonstrate the extension's reliability and effectiveness. Not working. I have this extension installed, and I've just received an email from a colleague in which it is clearly said "Remitente notificado con Mailtrack" ("sender notified with Mailtrack")

01/20/2024: WELL, Omar???
12/15: NOPE. Pixelblock does NOT successfully BLOCK the Mailtrack for Gmail tracker! Protonmail DOES. I would rather rely on your extension and unsure why you would say it was "fixed". Maybe you assumed so but didn't test it. Get it working and I will gladly go to 4/5 stars. Thanks for your efforts.
12/7: The blocked red eye icon finally reappeared for the last month or so, ONLY to disappear today with the Chrome update. Please fix and thanks!
12/13: THANKS OMAR!
*BUT* Pixelblock does NOT block MAILTRACK for GMAIL (mailtrack.io)? What's up with that? Should I know of this limitation already? The "red eye" leads me (and others) to believe that not only was a pixel or pic blocked, but that the *TRACKING* pixel was blocked. Can you recommend another extension that can block Mailtrack tracking?

Images are back when authorized, but the 'eye' icon is still not displayed. Please fix this. Thank you very much.
(In the meantime, I grant this extension five stars, as it is useful when it works properly).

Used to be a good extension. Now it breaks all images in Gmail. Nice fail, been using for years and now it's junk.

Still blocks images so still prevents the sender from knowing when you open their emails.
However the option to "Allow images below" doesn't seem to work anymore.
It looks like it was last updated in April 2019.
I have used this extension for years and loved it but I would like to be able to Allow some emails to display their images.
I'm leaving it installed and hope the creator comes back and updates the code.
Thanks for the years of service @omar.w.qureshi
